Hosta of the Day #2 - Jabulani

Post by redcrx »

Jabulani is a yellow hosta with a dark edge. It is a sport of the all yellow 'Rich Uncle'.
Jabulani is a Zulu word meaning "rejoice".

I just got this in today from Chris. To me it resembles a tokudama type - think heavy leaves.
Tracing its heritage back in the MyHostas Database there is a reference to 'Electrum Stater', as well as, 'Abiqua Recluse'. It looks like a reverse coloration of 'Electrum Stater'.
