starting seed
Can you start clematis seed? And if so how long before it comes up? My boyfriends clematis still has seed on it so I put some into a pot to see if it would come up. So far nothing. Is it possible?

I agree with Mary Ann and sometimes folk aren't as patient as they should, it then can take up to a couple years to see one bloom. We have some awesome ones we got to bloom in a couple year and are awaiting to see what last year seeds produce.

Re: starting seed
Well nothing came up last year. Guess I will try again. Do the seeds have to go through a cold period?

Re: starting seed
We planted them in orchid bark not soil and that worked well.
