Twin updates

Post by ogrefcf »

I'm going to post pictures of the twins here. I keep hijacking other peoples threads. Hope my gardening friends don't mind that I like showing my boys off!

Two month update. Two month check up yesterday. Colton is winning the weight contest at 13 lbs 6 oz and 24" long. Ronin wins the length at 24.5" and weights 12 lbs 5 oz. Ronin barley wins in head size at 41.4 and Colton at 41.2. Both had three shots/ immunizations and are now feeling a little grumpy. Other than that both boys are doing well.

I hear ya, Bob! My grandma 'cuddle and kiss those cheeks' gene is ramped up too. Our youngest grandaughter will be 2 mid-Feb, and they live far enough away ( and life events have been a little wild here) that we have seen very little of her. I did get to hold and cuddle and kiss the cheeks of my little 3 mo. old grand-nephew at Christmas, though! :D

I can't imagine that distance. My 5 gkids all live within 15- 20 mins of me and I drive three of them to school a couple times a week with stops for a shake or cone. Just enough to fill them full of sugar and send them home before dinner time. :D :D
A couple potential gardeners in the group that like to play in the dirt with me. The oldest, 14 yr old, is eyeing my "new" truck. She'll be 15 in a month or two and ready for her permit.   Then my only grandson (6) LOVES working with my two GSDs. He can even put them through their obedience routines. He puts my bite sleeve on but Thunder is one of those dogs that instinctively understands kids. He just stands there with the sleeve in his mouth while gson is yanking, pulling and jumping up and down. Says he's going to be a K9 cop and wants Thunder to be his dog. They both mind him better then anyone outside of me. He asked me the other day if he could have them both when I die.   Gotta love it!

It is hard to have a grandkid so far away. My son's oldest two from his first marriage were 3 hours away, but we saw them at least one weekend a month, they spend school holidays here quite often, and when they were old enough to drive they spent as much time here as they could. The grandkids range in age from 25 down to the 2 yr old. Oldest is married, and for now is not talking to us (long sad story), three are in college, one is through college and out in the working world, one just graduated high school at the semester and is enrolling in a CDL class in March, and the last four of the older bunch are in high school. All but the oldest two live within 5 miles of us (excpet when they are off at college) and then there are three foster grandkids too. Having one living far away, with parents who are constantly on the go, traveling all over the world (while they leave the little one with her other grandparents) is pretty hard to take. We're hoping that we can get up to see them more often this year; swing past when we go out rv-ing, etc. IF they stay home long enough. The last time we saw the grandaughter was in August when we had her for a week when they dropped her off on their way to Indianapolis.
I'm glad you are keeping up with those grandkids of yours, Bob! It's one of the best things about getting older; seeing your grandkids grow up well and being able to help them along the way.

Another twin update! Just over four months now and getting big. Colton is 17 lbs 1 oz 90%, 25 1/2" long 75%, and 90% in head size. Ronin was 16 lbs 7 oz 75-90% 26 1/2" long 95% and 90% in head too. I have some beefy boys. Here's a picture of them holding hands.

And sitting on my lap.

Do I detect a strong resemblance to dad? Great to see them doing so well.
