August and November Health Update

Post by GrannyNanny »

Hi everyone -- Haven't been on here since I posted in June. Just wanted to add that I am still off the Kadcyla chemo, because the tumor marker number is still going down! I'm down to 63 as of a week ago, so very close to the "55 or under" that is considered "normal". I'm about to post pics of my garden, so have a look. Phyllis

How wonderful is that? Great news, Phyllis. I'm so used to getting discounts for being "55 and older", It is nice to see you aiming for "55 and under". Hopefully after the next test you will be able to claim both!

This is the November update, and it's just as encouraging as the one I posted at the beginning of this thread in August. Saw the oncologist a couple of weeks ago, and the tumor marker is down to 22, and all the other "blood work" numbers are normal, so I don't have to see the onco for another three months. I am rejoicing! It's interesting living one's life in 3 month chunks, but it is a whole lot better than counting the weeks between chemo treatments! Thanks for being with me through all of this, and continuing to care about me through the years. Phyllis
