Thinking of (chilly) Hallson

Seeing the freeze warnings (on May 15!) for the upper Midwest. Pictures of snow in Cleveland and Buffalo.

We hope your stuff survived.

we skirted around those frost numbers for a couple of nights here in Minnesota... but things still look pretty good out my window... hope that is winter's final surge!

Ditto on good wishes for Hallson Gardens!

Thanks for thinking about us. Luckily we aren't in the upper midwest, really, but are in Southern Michigan near the Ohio border. The lakes help to moderate a little plus we are next to a wetland that keeps our dewpoint a bit higher. We had a frost advisory last night and only got to 38 degrees. A couple hostas are showing the effects of general cold damage, but no frost damage to worry about. We will be spraying fungicide tomorrow to keep botrytis from spotting hostas, lilies, and some other things, since botrytis damage can occur in wet and cold, even without a frost/freeze.

Sure hope others are getting through it too. It has been a few years since we've had to deal with a horrible freeze and I really hope this is the last we need to worry!

Thanks again :)
