Hi!
I found this site because of my recent hosta passion, but my real "thing" is African Violets. Started taking piano lessons at the age of 8 and my piano teacher gave me my first one. Here's just a small sampler of some of my babies -- I grow them on every nook-and-cranny of windowsill available:
I've never tried hybridizing my own (yet!) lol!!!
Any other AV-fanciers out there?

Thanks, Nathalie23.
I don't find many people that like African Violets. (obviously. lol!) I love them because they're in bloom year-round, and I can get my hands in the dirt inside in the winter here. lol!
Well... let me end by showing you the BIGGEST flowers I've ever seen on an AV: I started all 3 plants from leaves, they are standards (normal size) and all plants are approximately 6-8 months old, in 2 1/2" pots. The flower I'm holding is HUGE. It was huge on the mother plant, and is huge on every 'baby'. It's stunning (to me!). Hope you enjoy it.

Very But they don't like me! I'm not good at remembering to care for plants once the snow hits and I start quilting and such. Poor things. Only indoor plants that grow for me, are spiders, aloe, and cactii.
But I too can appreciate others beauties! They look so healthy! Good growing!
