Is this a violet?

Got this at least 25 years ago as part of a Florist gift plant. Never knew the name and have never seen it elsewhere. It has a lavender flower very similar to a violet except no yellow thingy in the center. Leaves are 7-8 " long and 3 1/2 " at the widest part. The underside is very red and fuzzy.

Could it possibly be Rhoeo spathaceae (aka Moses-in-the-Cradle)? The photos I find on-line are each a little different, but this shows one in bloom:

So, that's what it's called. I have one of those Party. I stole a seedling from a pot at my daughter's house, it has grown big now. I don't think that's what Shan has though.
