Care of Dracaenas (i.e., Corn Plants)?

Use this area to talk about tender plants such as annuals, tropicals, and houseplants.

Care of Dracaenas (i.e., Corn Plants)?

Post by party_music50 »

My sister just gave me THREE different full-size Dracaenas! I'm not sure I really want these. lol!

I searched on-line and don't find where this is addressed:
What do you do when an entire 'trunk' appears dead? The top growth is clearly dead, and the trunk feels a little loose in soil (yeah, I gave it a good yank to see if I could pull it out. lol!). My sister doesn't know the answer... she calls them palm trees.

Wow, I have not had one of those in years! The one that feels hollow is dead. I would get rid of it.
