Wintering bulbs
My Canna and elephant ears etc I always forget if I wait til frost or dig ahead of time to dry them for winter.

Elephant Ears - I wait for a frost to knock down the leaves, then dig em and let dry for a few days before storing.

Hi,
I also recommend waiting until after the first frost or two. That way the foliage will get knocked down, telling the plants it is time to store sugars for winter. Just make sure you dig before the ground freezes.
