Hibiscus HUGE-eyed!

Post by John »

Here is a new Hibiscus syriacus-- it has an enormous burgundy eye; almost looks like a burgundy flower with an orchid color edge!

I love how those colors fade together! I've got a strange feeling, I may get hooked on these :???:

Wow John, now I see why you have fallen hard. How big does this one get?

Deb, thanks- the burgundy color seems to send 'flares' into the orchid.

Karma, it is unique...this is the woody Rose-of-Sharon type, so not the "dinnerplate" huge hibiscus. It is only about four inches across. The eye amazes me, it almost gives us a burgundy Rose-of-Sharon!

Gorgeous! The only one I've ever tried growing was so infested with white fly that I threw the poor thing away :(
