I looked at the hostas you lost again. Inniswood has never been a problem for me except with frost damage a couple of years. But 2 of the others you mentioned have always been problems for me. Great Expectations has always grown slowly/barely - even the one that's planted in a pot & sunk in the ground. And I've had 3 Bright Lights - all in different places in the garden & have lost all 3. The last one was fine one year & there was no sign of it the next. Actually if I recall correctly, 2 in different holding beds did that in the same year. So I'm very reluctant to try anymore Tokudamas. Flavocircinalis is the only one that's ever grown well for me.
