Sedum - true from seed?

Just weeding my beds tonight and found some plantlets growing "miles"away from the mother plant. Just wondering if it'll be the same.

All I can tell you is that I have a Sedum Joy baby about 6 feet from her mama, and she is the spittin image of mama :D
