I got this from Chris spring '07 and I just love this one! I am hoping to eventually make places for it and Rhumba ...which is just starting to bloom... where they can just fill it up !

I am wondering if lilies would be able to grow up through it???

Looks great Claudia :) Bolero definitely gets big, doesn't it? Rhumba usually stays smaller, and blooms a little later.

Here I have Oriental and OT lilies growing up through my Bolero and they make terrific companion plants. The mums are somewhat shallow rooted so they don't seem to bother the lilies at all :D

OH . thank you ....that is the answer I wanted!! That really sovlves some apce issues for me.

My Rhumba is good size too..the Bolero would be even larger but I moved it and didn't use all of it!!

I also should have mentioned that I don't do the same thing with Asiatic lilies. They multiply so quickly that they don't work well growing through other plants, as they will crowd things too much. So stick with the Oriental types and hybrids.

My Bolero is blooming now too so I need to get some pictures of it before I forget :)

Okay...I don't grow hardly any Asiatics for that reason... because they do multiply so fast.
