Poppies

Post by kHT »

How many folks grow these? We have our first one opened this morning and I can't wait to see
what we have bloom this year. We added 7 new varieties but only 5 came up so far. The red ones
will have to be moved after they bloom as they are pushing the Hellebores out of their homes.
Photos will be added when I can get them.

I love poppies. I was given some years and years ago from a very old garden and enjoy them every year. They bloom about the same time as my purple iris (from another old garden) and the red and purple together make me smile. I will try to post a picture when they bloom.

I planted seeds but they never got a chance to bloom. I think the rabbits got them!

I love them, but have never tried to grow any. Used to have them growing wild in California, the hills were beautiful.
