Tulip ID?

Post by lazygardner »

Okay, I admit it: I should have taken a picture of this tulip when it was freshly bloomed.
Now I am hoping someone can give me a hint on an ID so I can get more of these beauties.
The flower in fresh bloom is vase shaped and the individual petals are pointed and pink with an orange stripe down the center of each petal. The orange gradually blends into the pink and I really shoulda taken a pic a week ago! It originally came from a florist, but I plunked the bulbs

in the ground in the hopes it would survive to the next year. Well, that was several years ago and now, most of the bulbs have been crowded out by weeds and other plants that I don't want to dig up.
Before criticizing someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them you will be a mile away and have their shoes!
