That is what these are aren't they ? Was on a beautiful Scarlet Rose (last summer). but this is all thee is so far this year................OC

I think that is what they are.....I get those too.....but shouldn't yours be leaved out by now? Is there leaves?

Yea, they look like rose hips to me. In my experience, canes that produced hips that ripened, usually die the following year. I think it has to do with the plant "getting the job done".

Yea, they look like rose hips to me =) And that is a beautiful looking rose I might add.
