Your right Snow! The camera did focus on the seeds and the cardinal is actually sitting behind them. This is the first I've seen of the chipping sparrow this year. Last year, whenever I worked in the hosta beds, I had a pair that would come and hang out with me.

THERE IS NOT ONE THING WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. How often do you "capture" (2) birds with one shot and have BOTH of them in SHARP focus. You're too hard on yourself. WE LOVE your BIrd Pictures...
As for the Chirping Sparrow, they have only been showing up here in ones and twos at a time. Now they are really coming in. You rendition of its color is perfect. O.C. loves that little rust stripe that runs down the middle of his head. Makes him real special like the white stripe around the eye of the Carolina wren...
