I took this pic of Red Fountain on Thursday. When I went on my garden walk today, I was amazed at how different the second bloom was. It was much darker and prettier. The bloom I was looking at was Kid Dynamite.

Thanks LucyGoose and Ladybug. :D

No, LG, it's not a double. It was just doing something different on that first flower. I'll let you know if the rest are like that or back to normal.

Abluted Pink is interesting ... hmmmmm
I take it that there is a bluish tint to this?

Thanks everyone. :D

I'm not sure about the blue tint on Abluted Pink, Helen. It may have been the light or the camera. I had to look up the word abluted when I bought this one. It means thoroughly washed clean.

Interesting name, Abluted Pink. Very pretty daylily. Cherry Cheeks looks great. Mine hasn't opened yet, but I'm hoping it'll look as nice as yours.

They're all very pretty Pat, but I love the colors of Abluted Pink and Cherry Cheeks best, for my garden. ;)

Hmmmm, my Cherry Cheeks is in full bloomin' glory right now and doesn't look very much like yours. Mine is more red and the petals are bigger. I'll have to do some checking and make sure mine really is Cherry Cheeks. I got it at Hornbakers 2 years ago (I think).

Is yours still blooming and do all the blooms look like this one?

Thanks Bonnie and Peggy. :D I just love Cherry Cheeks. 8-) Lucy and I bought them together. It always makes me smile.

Jane, That was the first bloom on Cherry Cheeks. Here is a pic I took yesterday to post on the "What's Your Favorite Today?" thread. I don't think my camera captures the true color of this one. The color is a bit deeper and brighter.

Thanks! That looks a lot more like mine, except mine has a deeper color, so perhaps it's just the camera.

Also, if you and Lucy got them together then I think I'm okay. After seeing your first pic I searched this forum for old pics of Cherry Cheeks and Lucy's picture from last year looks like mine too. Thanks for posting another pic.

All are lovely Pat- especially Cherry Cheeks. I just wanted to add to the color discussion though that I am noticing a real difference in having deeper intense colors this year. I wonder if the intense heat wave that we have been having contributes. I have pinks that look red and yellows that look apricot.
