Rachael Ray’s Pineapple BBQ Sauce

Post by Spider »

This is way good! The entire recepie is called Hula Chichen with Pineapple BBQ Sauce. I'm only posting the sauce portion, the chicken part was difficult. :)

Rachael Ray’s Pineapple BBQ Sauce

1 small to medium Red onion, chopped
1 can Pineapple chunks, chopped
3 Tbs Brown sugar
3 Tbs Apple cider vinegar
¼ cup Tamari (dark soy sauce)
1 cup Tomado sauce (plain)

• I pre mix the brown sugar, tamari, vinegar, and tomato sauce.

• Over medium high heat in a medium skillet use 1 tablespoon EVOO.

• Add onion and cook until tender. About 4-5 minutes

• Add pineapple, heat up a little.

• Add the sauce mix.

• Simmer until thickened and season with salt and pepper.

• Serve with a chicken Cordon Blu (chicken, ham, cheese)
