Pumpkin Angel Food Cake anyone?

I over heard a customer in super market line at cashier checkout telling another customer about an angel food cake mix, one cup water, one cup canned pumpkin, apple pie spice, and vanilla. Bake for 39 minutes. Now does anyone anywhere ever tryed this and do I have it correct? Sounds good to me and I think the baking time of 39 minutes is a bit different. Now I wish I would have asked a few questions for myself. Guess I will have to conduct an experiement.

Pat, I have that recipe.

1 box angel food cake mix
1 15 oz. can pumpkin pie filling
1 T. pumpkin pie spice
1 C. water

mix all ingredients. pour into a 9x13 cake pan--Not an angelfood pan. bake 30 min @ 350. serve with a dollop of whipped cream.

That sounds good. So do you add the ingrediants called for on the Angel Food cake box, or omit and just add the water, pumpkin and spice?

Made this last night for my honey. I left today on a business trip for several days, so I had to stock him up on yummy stuff. I snuck a piece before I left, it was REALLY good. Tasted like a pumpkin pie with moist texture like a carrot cake. MMM-MMM-GOOD!!

Ginger, Just mix the four ingredients together.
