I stole a Spanish sedum

Post by Gruntfuttock »

I bought a sedum home from Spain, I don't know it's name or whether it's hardy. It'll spend the winter in the greenhouse.

Not bad for a sedum though.

Karma, every sedum I put up here you call an ice plant.

The only one called an ice plant over here is the awful Autumn Joy thing.

Sorry G, but I would have said ice plant, too.

I really got a chuckle when I read your topic line, though. I 'steal' starts from all kinds of things from all kinds of places. My DH says he really feels like he has to keep an eye on me, especially when we are in the tropics as he doesn't want to go to jail getting caught in customs because I have stuck a start of something in my suitcase.

Nice find, though! Even if it is an iceplant it might no be readily available where you are...some of those are hardy, btw, and some aren't...and I don't know the difference unless someone tells me.

Here's mine...a variegated tender one...please ignore the weeds I just discovered when I went to take the pic, and the undisolved alfalfa pellets...It is definitely carefree, though.
