July 31 - and not like summer

Post by Herb »

The temperature has been around 13C all afternoon & it's been drizzling, but it had eased off a bit when I managed this picture.

I've always liked Azaleas clipped into a low domed shape & I've been trying to keep these shrubs trimmed similarly. None of these is an Azalea though - the one with the scattering of pink is a Newport Dwarf Escallonia. I like it because it grows more or less naturally into this shape, though of course it does need to be sheared now & again.

Hi Bert,
It looks great, just the way it would be in a Japanese garden if it was an azalea.
George.
