Acer palmatum 'Oridono nishiki'

Post by whis4ey »

I couldn't resist this beauty when I spied it 'in the sale' at the local garden centre
It is one I have been looking for, and was a good sized plant with lots of the 'late season' growth to show that it was in 'right good nick' (a Northern Ireland expression meaning a plant in good condition )
It was marked at £25 which in itself was a good price. I got it for £15. AND ... I had garden vouchers as a Christmas present never spent, so I got it for NOTHING
Now ... how can you beat that for a bargain?
Vertrees describes this plant as one of the better variegated varieties
I wait to see how it develops ....

Hi Sam,
Is that what they call the luck of the Irish, :frosty: it sure has a nice colour.
