Tanuki or Pheonix Graft
Hi,
Come on guys and gals lets get you out of the woodwork, it's time this forum woke up again so here's a good starter to get you posting ,what are your comments about my tanuki?
This video shows how I created this Tanuki bonsai from a dead Juniperus Meyerei and a nondescript Juniper that is aprox ten years old and has been kept in a small pot, it now looks quite good and in a couple of years when the branches have filled out a bit it should look stunning. http://vimeo.com/28301933
George.

That was really neat. Would love to see it filled out more. I'd really like to try some bonsai one of these days.

WOW George
How beautiful !
I could have used the dead trunk for an Christmas decoration or just left it in the garden for something to climb...
But I would never have thought of a sort of bonsai
I seccond- please update

Hi,
I will update later in the year because I intend to work on it and shape it a lot more, as I got a new tool for my router at christmas one which I have been after for some time, so I intend to do some sculpting and hollow out the trunk on the right of the bonsai, I will keep you posted on it's progress.

Re: Tanuki or Pheonix Graft
I might be hanging around here for help. I doubt I will ever be up to the true standards of this type of garden from what I have seen from the pics I have seen here; but maybe I can create the flavor and look of a calm beautiful garden area.
This style of garden has always said sit and calm your mind be one with nature. I have picked up some garden ornaments. The area is going to be very large. I am on 4 acres and I am going to carve a large wooded area out for this garden.

Thank you George, I know I cannot do anything compared to what I have seen of your gardens but I am going to try to give it the flavor.
Right now I am doing research.
