I love iris time! This little white one was as surprise in the noid bed. It is really cute, and probably an MTB or IB. Two of the red-toned SDB's opened too.

A little red noid - it was the first SDb I grew. I didn't even know small irises existed until it bloomed the first time.

WOW, Beautiful! I guess it's time to change my wallpaper from Leafy's Bonemeal and hosta picture now...I saw your picture in the other thread of all those potted up iris's.....It amazes me how people dig so much up to move.....Maybe someday that will be me, but I can't even imagine doing it....Probably cause my DH isn't really a gardner.... He helps when I ask, but if you could have seen us today trying to put a trellis in.....

Thanks Mike.....Always love the pictures! :D

BTW - I believe the white one is Florentina. It was sold to me as 'orris root iris' from a local boutique nursery. It seems to be just a bit smaller and better formed than Florentina was for me, but since Flor isn't blooming this year I can't compare them. Anyway, the falls are this magical almost-white-but-just-a-touch-towards-blue that gives them a wonderful silver cast.
