DOUBLE LIFE

(Paul Black, R. 2006) Sdlg. I225K. SDB, 13" (33 cm), EM & RE
S. white, overall pale violet plicata marks, light olive rib, open; style arms butter yellow crests, violet ridge; F. white, light green-gold texture veins, very pale violet-blue plicata band wider at haft and narrow at distal edge, medium olive haft; beards white tipped yellow gold; pronounced spicy fragrance. Fires of Fiji sib. Mid-America 2006

This one is brownish (with a plum sort of color cast). We've been having a rather cool spring, so I'm not sure how it's affecting the coloring of the irises.

I think this is the darkest I've ever seen Cat's Eye open, thank to the cool weather.

Lots of gorgeous minis here! but, it's not fair! I have only one (unknown) mini and it's got that sort of "old dishrag yellow" color to it. LOL! I'll try to post a pic later -- it's in full bloom.

DP? What's not to get along with? I thought they were one of the easier flowers to grow. I guess be/c my mom always weeded hers out and just threw them on a compost where they continued growing till someone tilled them under or took them out to be gifted or moved somewhere else!
