Do you know this Sib?

Post by viktoria »

Hi, iris folks,

You do not often (if ever) see me here. I would like to know, though, if you have ever seen this @4' tall variety. My camera did not read the color correctly and I tried to Photoshop it to the correct hue, with imperfect results. The flowers are the palest gray/blue/lavender and combine particularly well with other plants that have blue-green foliage (which is not, of course, where I have it planted) like sedums et alii.

I received this iris from a friend who said it is an old variety and he did not know the name.

It does look very old, given the narrow petals. I doubt you'd find a name for it. It is a really lovely flower.
