Tomato Blossom End Rot - How did you deal with it?

Post by Hapygdnr »

Greetings Veggie Gardeners
I'm asking this to help out my Dad. I think I read some ideas about how to deal with this here before but don't have time to look back or do some internet research like I normally would. If I remember correctly it is caused by a calcium deficiency. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hapygdnr, we grow disease resistant tomatoes and alway remember to rotate your crops. You might add lime or even egg shells to your soil to see it that will help. You might want to try messenger also?

Often this problem seems related to erratic watering.

I use Epsom salts, perhaps 1 or 2 TB per Gallon of water, per plant. Or 1/4 cup per 4 feet of row.
