Fungus gnats

Just an FYI
I've had a lot of them this winter with all my cuttings I've started from last years coleous, etc.
I had good luck catching adults with good old fly strips hung from my grow lights but they kept hatching out. I even turned loose a few common house spiders (don't tell the wife) that were curled up for the winter in my wood working shop. They all got fat and sassy but the gnats kept coming.
I purchased a package of Mosquito Dunks (BT) and crumbled 1/4 "dunk" per gallon of water and watered everything with it. It kills the gnat maggots in the soil and I've been gnat free for the past month.

Sand on top of the soil in each pot would of worked too. This winter we hung several dryer sheets in the Brug house and have seen less critters in there.

I was actually at the Lowes store with intentions of getting sand when I saw the mosquito dunks. More fun playing around to see if it worked. :D
