Mother Nature's Cat Toys

Post by Chris_W »

Went for a walk with Cleo tonight and she was having a ball playing with these pine cones. The way she was acting I think she comes out here on her own too.

I think I'm spending too much on cat toys when I could just come out here and get them

She is such a pretty cat, Chris! It is funny how they will just play with stuff like rolled up paper and stuff...Quit spending your money!

Thanks for sharing!! :D

Oh Chris, how funny. Cleo looks like such a happy-go-lucky kitty. One of my greatest rewards is having pets who truly enjoy their lives. She's fortunate to have a great Dad.

LucyGoose, ain't that the truth? I can't tell you how much money I've spent on kitty toys and treats when all they really want is a paper ball or my homegrown and dried catnip. Oh yeah, a ribbon is an awful lot of fun too (as long as they are fully supervised while they play with it.)

Thank goodness for our furkids. They're the reason I run home every night in anticipation of relaxing and having some fun.

Cleo is such a pretty little thing.

I always found our old Charlie loved empty boxes and brown paper bags better than anything I could buy. My favorite pictures are at Christmas when there would be empty boxes all over the den and Charlie would be trying out each one.

:o    Kinda like buying the most expensive toy for a kid, then they play with the box.

How cute she is. I love watching cats play. I learned a long time ago not to waste too much money or cat toys. They love all kinds of stuff here around the house. :D

What a pretty little one she is, Chris. I love her markings. We need lots more photos of your new babies.

OHHHHHHH Calicos are my favorite color of cat. Shes so cute. It funny what they find to play with besides the toys we spend $$ on and they turn up their little noses at only to go outside and beat the tar out of a leaf. But thats a cat for you.....just when you think you got em figured out they change.

Thanks for sharing Cleo's pix with us.

She is too cute! And it looks like she is having a great time. :)

Pinecones are great toys, but my cats seem to like a piece of paper best. :-?

An official cat toy is only one that the cat itself deems to be so.

She's so pretty, those markings on her are lovely Chris.

I have to agree with everyone, she's a keeper Chris!

I crack up every time we buy new shoes. Our great big ten pound kitty, Bubber, thinks the boxes are his beds. He gets in them, I have no idea how, but we'll find him inside them all curled up. Then he starts dreaming and moving around in his sleep and pretty soon one side rips out and he falls out. BUT HE MEANT TO DO THAT! And don't you dare laugh at him! Oh no! Kitties rule!
