Hi Justme,

I guess I'm one of the many. Hubby and I are doing Adkins together ... well a modified Adkins. :D

I work at a hospital Lab and in our bathroom we have one of the old hospital scales (like your doctor has). Several years ago, one the more health concious peope in the lab decided to put a sign up sheet in that bathroom. You use a ficticious name, each week you weigh yourself and record how much weight you have lost or gained. Nowhere do you put down how much you weigh or your real name.
She keeps it going for 16 weeks.
So I will be doing it again this year.

I managed to hurt my back for the first time ... herniated disk ... I was flat on my back for the whole month of Nov...and I hope this is a real determination to get in better shape since it can only help with the back pain.

Ok ,enough. I will try to keep you posted on how I do each week. :P

Historically every new years I used to say that....It wasn't untill last Feb that I got serious. It's not a date on the calendar that motivates me or the scale. It's those clothes. I loved donating my old "fat" clothes and now buying new smaller and stylish ones. I'm not sure why the hip huggers are popular. I prefer the waist kind. I do love the stretch ones though  . Good luck on your resolution.! Later, Love, Lisa

Thanks for the motivation Lisa. So far I have lost a pound a week. I've managed to walk at least a mile each day after work ... burrrrr! The dog loves it. I've have walked farther 2 of the days. It still hurts the back when doing too much. But its getting better each day. I've also begun a workout for my arms. Only 5 lb weights though.

Hubby and I went off of Adkins after only a week. But are trying to eat smaller portions and better food.
