Wonderful job on the concrete leaves. Arent' they fun but be careful it can become addictive.

I love them!! I have a big leaf birdbath of cement, that we got at a summer fest......Yours look great....I want the stepping stones!! Cool!!

we have found that portland cement works well, 1 part portland 3 parts sand and dont get too wet.

What kind of leaf did you use for the birdbath?
I'd like to make one too.
Did you put any kind of fitting on the bottom to attach it to the stand?

Gardentoad the leaf is from a squash and I used two leaves.
Heres a picture of the base I used a flower pot and at the top of the pole I used 1/3 of a large plastic pop bottle then inserted a flower pot in that.They fit perfectly.

Here I thought you used the leaf from an Elephant Ear!
That looks like it was a big squash leaf!
Did you seal it before painting it? What did you use? What kind of paint did you use?

Hi Ginger I have never sealed any concrete items and I used acrylic paint.
