ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS THEY CARE TO SHARE...LOOKING TO CHANGE THINGS UP A BIT THIS YEAR AS THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF SMALL CHILDREN IN MY AREA... :???:

Not sure what kind of projects you are looking for. Here are pictures of something my hubby made several years ago.

I drew out the shape I wanted for the legs, heads, and wings. He cut them out of 3/8" thick scrap wood. I painted them black with several coats, then accented them with white. A couple spray coats to seal them from the weather. He drilled little holes and put headless nails in the edges that attach to the pumpkin. So you just stick them into a pumpkin to make a little bat or spider. I've gotten lazy and do these guys instead of carving pumpkins. The bat is my personal favorite.

This reminds me, I didn't grow any pumpkins this year so I'm going to have to buy some and get out my critter parts. These are pics from last year when I had funny-shaped pumpkins.

And, you don't have to stick your entire arm down inside the pumpkin and scoop out the guts.LOL

My BIL sent me this photo. I think it's different, and since there are no kids in the area you might want to try it.... lol!
