My first lily of the year

Post by Tundra_Queen »

I don't know what is going on in my garden but my flowers seem to be a few weeks early this year. This one I noticed thru the living room window and couldn't believe it was blooming so early.

Now, if this means my gardening season is getting longer then I'm all for it!

Jane, yes it is. I have been finding a lot of surprises this year because I haven't been able to go out into the garden as much as I did in previous years. And at this time of the year when the mosquitoes and black flies are so very bad I'm out there even less than normal.

Oh, those black flies are horrible insects! Mom fights them at her garden up at that cabin every year! I think that would keep me out of the garden in and of itself!

It's very pretty Debbie! I used to have several asiatic lilies along the driveway. I think the voles ate them. I have one small one left and it has a bud. If I'm not mistaken, it will be similar to your.
