Jack in the Pulpit....big and little

Post by steg »

Found this little one hiding under a coral bell this morning.....if it hadn't been for the leaf stems I would never have noticed.

Me too!!!
Before criticizing someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them you will be a mile away and have their shoes!

They are fun to try and find....unfortunately it seems the show is now over for them. Oh well.

Those are cool! Did you plant them or do they just pop up where they want to?

We planted two of them, but the little hiding one just popped up. I think there are a couple more in there some where. We'll see next year. I don't believe the big one was that big when I planted it. I would have remembered.

Mine were just from the backyard fence, rescued them before those guys with hedge trimmer chop it off.
My fence is backed to the NCC greenbelt (Ottawa City, ON, Canada), and these plants were abundant along with ferns.

I did not get a picture of it when it flowered,(ah, maybe next spring) but here it is with the fruit.
