I can't figure out a plant I have in my shade garden.
It is a herbacacous perennial that gets about 3 or more feet tall, has variagated, spotted, splashed leaves, dies down to the ground with the frost. I am having trouble posting a pic or I would show you the plant.
Any ideas?
I thought it had a "sia" on the end of it but I am still blanking out.

Re: Need ID
Could it be Persicaria 'Painter's Palette'?

Re: Need ID
I was unable to get all the flowers clipped off last year before they went to seed and now I'm pulling them out of my hosta beds by the 5 gal buckets full. Going to keep a few for interest, but the rest go in the compost pile. Still have several large clumps of them to pull.

I guess I'm luyck that I have mine planted in a difficult strip next to the sidewalk. Only 3 or 4 seedlings have shown their little heads this year. It's hard (meaning I don't do it well) for me to keep this area watered, so I'm moving the Hosta 'Golden Tiara' and Dicentra formosa out of this area to make room for more Persicaria.
