Some epimedium shots

It's high epimedium season. Here are a few pictures I took yesterday.


'Amber Queen', which may be the most spectacular Epi in our garden.


'Sulphureum' is an oldie but goodie that we use extensively as ground cover. Here it is at the end of the bloom period (it blooms before leaves fully emerge), but the new leaves have these great markings. I'm using a related shot for Windows wallpaper right now.


'Spine Tingler' is aptly named. The flowers are pretty tiny, though.


E. x warlayense 'Orangekönigen' has the brightest orange flower color.

Beautiful epis David. I don't know how you get such great shots of them, I find them really difficult to photograph.

It is tough. But with a digital camera, no one cares if you throw away all the bad shots!

Amber Queen is lovely, then Sulphureum is the only one I have ever seen

This is 'Mizohomaru' (a grandiflorum, I think). Growing in a trough, but getting too big! We love the curled flowers when they open.

Those are gorgeous,just put in several yesterday under a large Maple will get morning sun hope they do as well as yours.
