This rain is making it tough to collect pollen or hybridize of any sort this week. Just a few dry hours in the morning, that's all I ask! The good hostas that I want to use are few and far between this time of year. I can't afford to lose this many days.
Just venting... -sigh-

Re: Tough to do much this week
Hi,
Hopefully this week has been better than last week. Like you, I felt like 3 days of constant rain last week was really taking away from my hosta time, but this week has been nearly perfect, in my opinion. Maybe a little too cold at night, but things are moving along here again - only have a couple crosses done, though, but pods are forming on them, so I'm happy about that so far

Not much left to pollinate here! I'm collecting some pollen from the late bloomers here to use on the early bloomer streakers next year. This is a first for me!
