Greg hosta seeds that have stored in the freezer will work nicley.
Hope this gets you going! Hosta seed growing has kept me happy for quite a few winters.
Nothing like seeing little hosta seedlings in the winter!

Trudy,

Nice seedlings you got going there...Thanks for sharing them they are looking really healthy. The streaky seedlings are so much fun to combat them winter blues. They look super in the yard after they grow up a bit too.. :cool:I may have to start some yet !!

I've just started mine, so I don't have anything new to show this year. Glad you are back, Greg.
Get to that freezer and get some seeds planted!

Hi all,
Started my winter seed really early this year. Have about 90 transplanted into coffee cups and another 144 that will need to be sooner or later. I tried to put some pics on last night but they didn't take. No streakers (like the beauty above) but it looks like there is a few with potential. Maybe I can get some pics up later.

I saw the first little bits of green in the seedling cups yesterday, so it won't be long now!

I'm about the same as Linda P - just starting to show. Planted on 1/23 so .....10-14 days for 1st to show. More seeds started 2/1 and 2/5. Some in trays and trying some in cups for first time. Bought a few seed packets from streaked hosta - all have started to sprout .....yay.

Also trying some Jack in the Pulpit seeds inside and also winter sow. Normally just plant seeds in garden.....but didn't get to it last fall.
