How could this happen?? I look in the mirror and see a 75
year old broad, married 52 years to the love of my life!
From early childhood on I have been a "gardener". If I am
not doing it, I am dreaming about it! The computer is still
a novelty to me so I am not very efficient with it. That said,
I remember that when my husband retired iin 2000 and
bought this thing, I thought he was short of a full load.
I have a digital camera and enjoy the freedom it gives me.
Now I cannot believe how important the people I meet here
have become to me! Many thanks to Chris for this forum
and to all who "live" here. Marietta

There may be snow in the garden, but there will always be eternal springtime in the heart of this old gardner - Saying of Old Coot

Holy wow! I am soooooo proud of you Marietta! I was hoping we could mom interested in the internet and computers and she did send a couple emails through mine and my sisters computers, but alas, it's 'too complicated' to her! Sure wish she would try again. She's 78, but that's no reason to not try :(

and Double wow! 52 years of marriage is a feat all in it's own these days! Congrats for every year to you both! Wonderful! Glad to know you :)

Thanks to Jane and the Old Coot for answers and good
wished.....whenever people say a long marriage is a feat
I usually reply that it just doesn't seem as long from the
end that I am on as it does from the front end! You know,
life is like a roll of toilet paper....the closer you are to the
end, the faster it goes (gleaned from a computer contact).
With kids grown and gone, major work done and retirement
