I'm afraid I have to put the brakes on in 2008. Have a new garden extension, but am quickly running out of space.

Beautiful Hostas

Post by oldcoot »

OC has a few that really looked good last year after the freeze. All bloomed, so hope they will be back This Year

106* days in July did them all in (couldn't get out to water.)
SO have no idea what I'll see this year....Smug Mug looked good too. OC has a album or two over there. Check out his profile..... OC

Looks like 5 is the limit. Here are the next 5.
Ani Machi (sometimes known as Geisha) - new spring 2006. Always waving in the breeze and hard to photograph. Edit July 2014 - this hosta was found to have HVX in 2013. Had probably been infected since I bought it. Very, very subtle symptoms. It was destroyed.

The next five.
Center of Attention - new spring 2004. Light substanced leaves are very subject to damage by storms and/or slugs. The copper collar helps with the slugs but there is still a lot of damage. In autumn 2009, I have removed this plant from my garden.
