Gold Standard with mottling

Post by jobranch »

This photo was shown on another forum and I was wanting some opinioins on if this is HVX. This is not one of my hostas, but I have one or two that look like this (the subtle green mottling). It is my feeling that this is normal as this hosta bleaches out during the summer. Would welcome any comments especially from Chris.

Hi,

I don't see anything that really screams out HVX. Without seeing the backs of the leaves it would be hard to tell what is causing the darker patches.

Of course, knowing this plant and that this looks like a young one it wouldn't be unusual for it to be infected :???:
