The strange puckering has me concerned. I've had this one for a couple years but this year - it is not looking good at all.
I guess I'm looking for confirmation

Yes, that definitely is unusually crinkled. Sometimes when you have a really cold spring the hostas sort of start and stop as they try to emerge and you get some unusual crinkling from the first set of leaves, but that is a bit extreme. Any chance you can get a larger picture or a closeup? If you can't adjust the file size easily then just email me the raw image to hallsons@perennialnursery.com and it only takes me a second to edit and reduce the file size so people can easily view it here.
Once I see a closer picture I'll try to give some advice.
