info for garden centers?

Post by kitgary »

Chris,
I work at a local garden center and have spotted HVX on Hanky Panky.
I pulled all of them off the retail floor and informed my boss.
Advised him he should pull all the plants from that supplier (Dutch). And not order from them again.
We played the scenario last year and all he did was throw out the infected variety!
He doesn't seem willing to take advice from a mere underling.
Is there an official sort of statement or flyer I can give him to explain what he NEEDS to do.
I would appreciate any help to get him to take this seriously.
Thank you!!!
Kitgary

PS. I don't think I'll be working there much longer. Between my conscience, and his anger at my costing them money and creating a problem....

Bravo!! Stand your ground. I interviewed with a big box place and I asked what they do if a virus plant
comes in. Sad to say they were in it for the money and assured me their plants were safe. I excused myself
went to their plants, pulled their hosta and took it back. VIrus!! Needless to say I didn't get the job after I
told them this and would of taken it if they offered. Their job is to push the plants out the door.
