I have never come across this before and am sure it is/was hosta vitus X
my Gold standard developed green motled bleeding in the viens I am certain it is hosta V X so disposed of the plant and checked all my others (afer washing my hands of course) at the moment non of my other plants show any signs of this bleeding or mottling. The said gold standard was an addition to my collection last year and considering all my plants are grown in pots (not the ground) can I consider this gone? I disposed of the pot/container and soil too.

Like I say it was on an addition of last year and luckily my plants are, all in pots (no actual garden as such) no tools were used juts hands so think it should be safe. I hope

Good catch. You'll just have to keep your eyes on your others, but it's unlikely that it spread if you were only handling it by hand.
