Sum & Subst. - What Do You Think

Post by guardbear »

Hi All

I think my Sum & Substance has HVX. I have noted very, very faint bleeding for past two years on one to two leaves, but it seems to disappear later. This year, I think it is worse, but still really only on two leaves enough to really see. Hope the pics are good enough. They show top and bottom of the two suspect leaves. I was going to move this plant this year to a new bed, but . . . . . if it is infected, I may just obtain another one to plant in the new space. This one purchased from online dealer in 2006.

Any help is most appreciated. Hope everyone is out and about now in their hostas.

Regards to all
Linda

Others should weigh in, but I think this is o.k. HVX is usually very obvious on Sum & Substance, with dark green inkspots in the veins.

My gut feeling is that it's OK.
