Does this Francee have HVX?

Post by Tritium »

Hi There,
Anyone want to take a shot and give the diagnosis as to whether this Francee has been infected? I have the immunostrips coming but was eager to get your opinion.

Thanks,
Matt

What you are seeing is streaking and not virus symptoms. If you bought this plant at a non-specialty nursery then I would still recommend testing it as Francee rarely shows actual symptoms but can carry it often.

Good luck.

If that streaked Francee blooms and sets pods and you don't want to grow the seeds, I would be happy to grow them. I would love to see if the streaking would pass to the next generation. I have some Francee seedlings and they are very pretty blue.
