Stephen King, what the heck?

Post by sweetee »

I got this Stephen King in June from a reliable source. Anyway, when walking past it tonight I said; what the heck? Saw these white streaks. Since the leaves were solid 2 months ago and no one else in the area shows anything I'm curious. What's going on here? I've enclosed as many pics as I could.

The left two leaves look like streaking. The right two leaves do look like they could be some kind of virus, but I'm not certain what it is. What does the seller think, if you contacted them?

Also check the backs of the leaves for any kind of damage - bugs, old frost damage - because those seem to just be the older leaves.

I'll check the backs later today and see what's going on. I do have slugs so I wondered. Thanks, I'll see what the seller says.

I contacted the seller and they said they had a few reports of some which developed streaking late in the season, great for hybridizing. The streaks do show through to the back of the leaves. What do you think? Will keep you posted on this. Thanks
