Good morning all!
Is "Physan 20" an alternative to bleach for disinfecting tools, containers/pots, etc? I am a sloppy washer and have holes in more than one article of clothing from bleach water!
I hope you stay garden active when you "sort" of retire. Your place, site and you and Brian have been great friends to hosta growers!
Thanks for everything! Barb Hunter - Lapeer

Re: Physan 20
Hi Barb,
I use lysol as an alternative. It is a lot easier to work with and likely does a much better job of actually disinfecting because unlike bleach it is not neutralized quickly in the presence of of organic matter. Since we do so much cleaning I buy gallon jugs of lysol I.C. quaternary ammonia concentrate on amazon and then mix it up. I also use lysol disinfecting wipes (or clorox wipes which actually are not bleach but also the same as lysol) to scrub down knives and scissors and other small tools.
Hope that helps!
