More hellebore photos

So far its been a good year for hellebores for me, even though we had the wettest November ever on record and then the coldest temperatures since we've lived here for 18 years. Guess the hellebores like the strange weather!

Andi thanks for bringing a bit of spring this morning. The flowers on that second one are really quite large and very pretty! I just put some in last fall so not sure if I'll get flowers this yr... and I hope to try some from seed some time too.
Thanks again.

They are beautiful!

Mine are too new to bloom too I think. I just put them in last fall and there isn't any sign of buds, so I suspect I will have to wait another year.

Thnanks for posting yours, they are lovely!

Too pretty! I love that purple-y speckled one. So-so year down here. Established plants are doing well, but the mid-range ones are looking ratty. At least they are alive.

Gorgeous Helle's, Andi!

This is my first real year for hellebores, I received soooo many great ones from Natureboy (Jake) Seedlings that were various crosses, they're all burgandy, some with very dark flowers and some with speckles, so pretty. They flowered late, because they were young babies, some are just getting planted now. Hellebores are tough! I had many pods full of seeds last year and I sprinkled them all over the ground, I must have 30 seedlings coming up! Something for a trade, certainly!

You should have seen the haul I just picked up from Wells Medina Nursery, i got some really beautiful golden trout lilies. We must do another nursery hoping trip soon!!!!

MY Edgeworthia is coming on slow, it got hit by the cold, but my Daphne's are going crazy.

My new garden is making me soooooo happy!!!! I'm absolutely excited, I'm out there every day staring at the plants, I'm sure the neighbors think I'm crazy.

The species tulips we got at Wells are blooming, they're soo cute, varigated and striped foliage. i like that they bloom earlier. The crocus were small and didn't last too long.

Andi, Are you doing your trade this year? Your trades are the best!
:D

Thanks everyone... I'll try to get some more to post for today, along with other spring goodies. I'm bummed, one of my hepaticas bloomed like crazy this year but I didn't get a photo of it in time :(

Lots of pulmonarias and primroses in bloom right now :)

Great pics, Andi. Mine won't be in bloom for another month or so. They're all pretty young, bloomed for the first time last year. This is the 3rd year for the first two. I'm really hoping for seedlings one day, too.
